Creative counting in English
Apparently, I was very creative as a young girl of 3. My father was a university lecturer at the time, and his students would teach me to count in English when they came around.
They had taught me up to 29 when a friend of my parents’ came to visit and, having been told that I could count in English, he asked me to do it.
“Okay. One, two, three…” I started. It all went well until I approached the critical number of 29. I said: “twenty-eight, twenty-nine, twenty-ten!”
Of course, after twenty-nine, it should be twenty-ten! That's how you bring your logical thinking to a creative level. If I had kept that level of creativity going all the way along, I might have been at least ten times richer by now...
